Tip 13: Finish writing your profile! And please include a picture! How can people say 'hello' if there is no personality there to connect with initially?

Tip 14: If you discover they are needing permanent residency (an for some very valid reasons:-)

Tip15: Make sure the profile you write here is the REAL you,(of course it would be with us upfront, honest people),
otherwise if you do meet up with someone, you might have a lot of explaining to do--- as happened to me with a guy
I met up with who was totally different to his profile!!! Shock. Horror.

Tip 16. Don't leave your computer on when you go out for 3 hours to the beach for an evening swim (sorry Cossie and Heather! Didn't mean to ignore your chat request!) xx

Tip 17. Know that for every 10 waves you send, you *might* get one wave back. Try not to take it personally. If possible :)

Tip 18...............lol, Georgina......and when your ignored in chat by male or female........dont take that personally either...........:-)

Tip 19 - Always assume ( unless you have the conversation ) that the other person is getting to know and/or dating other people as well as getting to know you.

My personal experience- ...that way when you add them to your facebook profile after a couple of months of getting to know each other you won't be shocked to see that their relationship status reads "in a relationship" - lol ;)

@Pauline, you can change your privacy settings on your account so people dont know when you have viewed their profile....unless you want them to kno of course..........:-) @ Vikki, i dont have facebook or any of those other chatty sites, but no real shock surprises here think their silence probs speaks the same message........but sure, being unassuming probly helps :-)

Tip 20 - DONT FREAK OUT if someone finds you attractive, and the feeling is not mutual....Isn't that why we are all here. Just be flattered, and politely say how much you would like to keep their friendship, but nothing more, and like Giselle says...and have a big laugh...hehehe ho hum..bummer ! #$%@!! lol
