Bunnings - a place where men can go and never be seen again!

Bunnings to me is like WOW superstores.. you go in when it opens spend heaps of time looking and building up a wishlist in your head and then after what seem like a few minutes walk out to see the sun going down and realising tat you have purchsed something that you really don't quite need but didnt want to walk out empty handed!

I guess so you ladies can relate... think DFO!!!! lol

lol... nah I learnd self control Michelle and stay away from those place now... only going to them when I really need to buy something! Mind you the closest Bunnings is 500kms away...

I agree with with Mt Cootha Martin, Its an awesome place, especially when a big electrical storm is brewing. The good thing about living away from the city is you get to see all the stars in their glory.

Up this way the perfect date is a trip up to Karumba to have dinner on the beach and to watch the sun set over the Arafura Sea then on the way home pull off the road and soak in the indescibable beauty of the night sky... :) (well not right on the beach there are big crocs up here and they might dampen the mood a little bit,,, lol)

Elton what a wonderful date . . . hope the ladies up there find you.

Michelle, when I lived in Mackay for a bit the ladies used to meet in Porters, a huge hardware. It had a coffee shop/cafe and served the nicest meals. The talk was that many fine relationships had blossomed from the cafe there.... we should write to Bunnings. The cafe here in Bundaberg is two tiny tables... but then one would have to share lol..

I love Bunnings . . try not to fill the ute but then the camper van I bought holds more so I really need to be carefull. I like renovating but can really manage small stuff and painting. I think getting into doing things together is a great way to build friendship and have fun doing the jobs about the house or houses . . first date ... how about a nice long walk on the beach finished off with fish and chips at the lookout watching the sun go down... I invited a man to watch the sun come up at the beach once... still have the photos. The scenery was magnificent . . Gods Glory everywhere but the mood could be cut with a knife. He was not impressed so why didn't he just say "no" and suggest something else...

Resently I accepted a motor bike ride and that was nice with a nice lunch stop . . .

Going to musicals or tastful comedy shows, church, how about a harbour cruise ..... any takers??

You never know where God might call someone, Elton. I've just come back from a God-given trip to the Tanami and Western Deserts!

lol Michelle... don't send too many, what if they all decide to stay? (for the fishing that is) ;)

I agree with the book thing, but I am finding that even if I havent got around to reading the book yet, I have been able to give some to people that are going through a difficult time and the book if relavent for them to read.

I am about to go through my Christian books and am donating some to the local library. The girl that runs it is a Christian and is keen for me to give them some!

My Christian DVD collection is growing though... :)

March 2013

I keep getting cold feet, at just the thought of ever going on a date. It has been 32 years now since I have been one....eeeeek !! I would only meet with someone if I felt some kind of attraction, and not just to say, "that I have been on a date". This may sound strange, but I am not really looking forward to the first meeting. Am I the only one who feels this way? Hahaha not the most exciting person to even take on a date, let alone think of 12 exciting things to do.
